I went to a party last night at my brother’s new girlfriend’s house. It was actually a lot of fun. I’m definitely an introvert, so I’m always paranoid about meeting new people and awkward silences. Thankfully, there was very little of that. I wasn’t sure about his new girlfriend the first time I met her, but after last night, I quite like her. She seems very smitten with my brother, and confessed to me that she’s worried he’s a player and she’ll get hurt. I assured her that my brother is not like that, not at all.
I’ve been called 4 times already today by a guy I met at the party. In my drunken stupor, it seemed like a good idea to give him my number. He’s got a couple of kids, and I’m definitely not willing to deal with the whole ex drama again.
I’m finally going to be getting back into the running thing tomorrow. I was derailed for awhile, at first because I got sick with a nasty chest infection. When I recovered after about a week, I received a complaint about the noisy treadmill. I was totally bummed out. I wasn’t sure what I’d be able to do. I’m simply not at the point where I’m comfortable going to a gym or running outside. I talked to the condo board, they told me to buy a treadmill mat. I finally got one, and as an added measure, bought a section of carpet to put underneath. I moved my treadmill to my office today and got everything set up. I’m excited again, I just hope what I’ve done is enough. We shall see!
